Join the Coral Restoration Foundation and Amoray Dive Resort to see coral reefs being revitalized and restored, firsthand.
The day starts with a brief presentation on coral reef degradation and the restoration work underway, followed by a 2-tank dive trip: first to an acre-sized coral nursery in the open ocean, home to over 400 coral "trees," then to restored reefs to collect data, help with coral tree care, or plant corals yourself.
Morning lecture at 9 AM, dive trip at 1 PM — $85 per person, plus a $50 donation per person to the Coral Restoration Foundation. 2018 program dates ran May through October — check with the resort for current dates if you'd like to take part in this large-scale Florida Keys restoration effort.
