A guest trip diary, republished from Emily and Barry's travel blog, Traveling Twosome.
"Arrival: after a busy drive down and a careful search for KLSC's hidden entrance, we were welcomed by Patria, who showed us to our cottage, the Manatee — tropical Key West style, comfortable and clean, simple rather than luxurious. Down at the docks we met David, who maintains the boats and gear, and who chopped the top off a fresh coconut for us to drink straight from the palm, just like on Survivor. Dinner was fresh fish, coleslaw, and black beans and rice at The Fish House."
"First sail: six hours out on the Catalina 22 'Slider,' our longest sail ever, with winds running 15–20 knots through the afternoon."
